    Andrew is the CEO of Shared Assessments, a global risk membership organization supporting hundreds of companies, risk programs, and thousands of their associated professionals managing compliance, cyber, resilience, and other related supplier risks. As a risk practitioner and executive with more than 30 years in risk management and sourcing, Andrew promotes cultures of accountability for organizations and their suppliers to promote both enterprise resilience and great customer experience. Prior to joining Shared Assessments in 2022, Andrew served as Senior Vice President, Vendor Risk Management and Corporate Insurance at Blackstone for four years, where he led a team of risk professionals responsible for supporting all business teams through all phases of the supplier lifecycle. Prior to Blackstone, he worked at BlackRock from 2010-18, where he first joined and then eventually led the firm’s Vendor Risk Management team, and he also worked at Citigroup nine years, finishing as a Senior Vice President and Business Information Security Officer in Global Fixed Income, leading onsite supplier risk assessments across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Sustainability Committee

Participants focus on how to incorporate sustainability considerations into Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) programs. Participants from all organizations with an interest in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) considerations, regardless of level of TPRM experience, are welcome.

The Committee has an educational focus, informing members about evolving sustainability frameworks, policies, metrics, procedures, regulations, etc., in the context of TPRM. It is a forum for individuals from mature organizations with extensive experience to share insights with those organizations just beginning their sustainability journeys. Outside experts are occasionally brought in to share “best practices” related to their organization’s sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and ESG journey.

Additionally, input from this group is considered in developing Shared Assessments Products, including the SIG, SCA, and VRMMM.

Best Practices Committee

This Committee examines existing and emerging “best practices” to help address the challenges organizations face in managing third-party risk. Committee meetings typically include a “Shop Talk” with guest speakers, panelists, or open discussion on topics prioritized by the Committee participants through surveys and polling questions. Examples of previously examined topics include third-party contract development, inherent risk ratings, scoping assessments, maximizing continuous monitoring systems, identifying and managing fourth parties, integrating artificial intelligence into risk management, resourcing models, and articulating a program’s business value.

The output of this Committee includes industry briefing and white papers, practitioner guidelines and work aids, industry call-to-action pieces, and blogs intended to enhance third-party risk management practices. This group coordinates with other Shared Assessments Committees when appropriate.
