Committee participants discuss current and proposed international regulations, guidelines, and standards. A special focus this year will address member implementation challenges from likely U.S. banking regulator’s requirements for assessing and mitigating risks from critical third parties, and the increasingly important focus on supply chain risks beyond the third party. Additional topics examined by this committee include cloud, IoT, concentration risk, resilience, inventories, due diligence access, and how regulatory approaches to these topics harmonize (or diverge) globally. The Products Development Committee is responsible for the management and development of new product concepts, ideas, existing and new content and the functionality of solutions in the Shared Assessments’ Product Suite. This committee strives to ensure all features and content within the products adhere to current local, state, federal, national, and international rules, laws, regulations, technological standards, and frameworks. Furthermore, the committee ensures the products are updated to meet new and changing risk areas as the lifecycle of third-party risk management evolves. Participants focus on how to incorporate sustainability considerations into Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) programs. Participants from all organizations with an interest in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) considerations, regardless of level of TPRM experience, are welcome. The committee has an educational focus, informing members about evolving sustainability frameworks, policies, metrics, procedures, regulations, etc., in the context of TPRM. It is a forum for individuals from mature organizations with extensive experience to share their insights with those organizations just beginning their sustainability journeys. Outside experts are occasionally brought in to share “best practices” related to their organization’s sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and ESG journey.
