Shared Assessments Steering Committee Chair and Vice Chair 2020

Shared Assessments strives to be the trusted source for thought leadership, best practices and solutions for third party risk with opportunities for members to address global risk management challenges through committees, awareness groups, interest groups and special projects.  The Shared Assessments Steering Committee oversees the direction of these collaborative groups ensuring members understand how to manage the Shared Assessments Framework for Third Party Risk Management and Assurance.

Shared Assessments welcomes Emily Irving, Vice President of RQA-Third Party Risk, to the helm of the Steering Committee as Chair in 2020.  With demonstrated analytical and leadership skills from nearly 20 years in risk management and fraud prevention, Irving will be instrumental in driving Shared Assessments Steering Committee’s strategy and direction.

Irving’s experience in risk management is extensive as she has:

  • Created enterprise-wide vendor risk management programs in the financial industry
  • Directed efforts to enhance enterprise due diligence, oversight and monitoring of controls, contracts and performance for outsourced vendors
  • Established streamlined workflow and increased efficiency across departments in conducting vendor risk assessments

Emily Irving’s proven experience in managing complex project plans and developing supporting corporate initiatives will guide her as she oversees committees and projects to ensure consistency with the overall mission of the Shared Assessments Program.

Shared Assessments is similarly pleased to announce 2020’s Vice-Chair of the Shared Assessments Steering Committee: Nasser Fattah, Managing Director, MUFG Union Bank, N.A. Fattah brings a strong executive leadership background in Cybersecurity, IT, Risk Management, and Operations to the Steering Committee where he will guide strategy and direction.

Fattah has lead enterprise-wide scale cybersecurity transformational initiatives across large teams resulting in operational efficiencies, reduced risk, increased revenue and decreased expenses. As an active contributor to industry-wide cybersecurity round tables and a frequent speaker at cybersecurity and third-party risk events nationwide, Fattah will be a natural spokesperson for the industry in forums, media and government policy when industry input or education is requested.

With their combined experience, acumen and insight, Shared Assessments is thrilled to have Emily Irving and Nasser Fattah leading the Steering Committee and its groups towards strong strategies and solutions to Third Party Risk in 2020.
