Property of value (physical, intellectual, system, or other property) owned by an organization. Asset may include, but is not limited to such items as physical plant, intellectual property, mission-critical systems, personnel, equipment or logically related group of systems, and an application. For TPRM, asset also includes articles, such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices that must be inventoried for the purposes of protecting an organization.
