Assurance portals are applications that provide access to information and resources about third party information management hygiene, including security policies, standards and assurance programs over the protection of customer data. When combined with TPRM assessment workflow software, and especially when standardized content is used, brokered assessment repositories can make assessments substantially more efficient. A portal user would reasonably expect to be able to use this tool to gain visibility into four key elements: visibility into access and governance of services and data; security controls; compliance; and threat protection. An assurance portal is a due diligence tool that can provide this type of reporting.
