A provider acting on behalf of the Outsourcer to manage and enforce security policies. The CASB can affect mitigation efforts and works with to the Outsourcer to ensure compliance with regulations and Outsourcer policies. CASBs may provide assurance portals that generally focus on four key elements: visibility into access and governance of services and data; security controls; compliance; and threat protection. An assurance portal is a due diligence tool that can provide this type of reporting. CASB is an emerging service type.
